The Silvestri family's Ala Pinot Gris is a bright, easy-drinking expression designed around freshness and versatility. Named for daughter Alexandra's childhood nickname, the wine has an especially personal connection for the family—it was the wine she and her husband shared on their first date.
Beginning with a floral jasmine on the nose, it is acidic, light bodied and crisp. Starting with soft honey at the front of the palate to then end with a spiced orange peel finish.
The grapes are pressed and fermented in stainless steel, with the wine aged for 5–8 months in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak. It does not undergo malolactic fermentation, preserving the wine's natural acidity and crisp character.
